In Han China, you gotta hold your own because no one is gonna hold it for you! But how are you supposed to keep yourself safe when all you have is, a Broken Sword? Well the girls of one family are going to find out when they try to protect their loot and their honor in this martial arts action-comedy.

With sword choreography playing into a complicated story, "Broken Sword" predates many of the later martial arts masterpieces like "Iron Monkey", and "Fist Of Legend", in incorporating a complex plot with a multitude of characters each with their own side-story, and not just an excuse for fighting. "Broken Sword" is a shining example of the style that what would later become martial arts mega-cinema made famous by films like "Fearless", and "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon".
